Lucia Adelaide Di Nicola
Started to study the piano at the young age of eight, attending the courses of Drahomira Biligova organized by the Conservatory of Music “Alfredo Casella” in L’Aquila. She graduated from the piano soloist performance with the maximum of votes. After the Diploma degree she has mastered her skills with M. Zuccarini, V. Voskobojnikov, F. Graasbeck, I. Gayan, I. Cernetska, F. Pergler, K. Bogino and L. Porta Del Lungo. She took part in several music festivals both as soloist and as a member of chamber music ensembles. She is a winner of national piano competitions.
From 2011 she has been a harpsichordist and organist in the Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrea De Carlo at the Conservatory of Music in Aquila. From 2011 she has been also working as an accompanist of Furio Zanasi’s Baroque Students and as a harpsichord tutor in Andrea Coen’s harpsichord class. In November 2011 she was invited to play as harpsichord soloist in festival “Note D’Autunno” with a solo recital in Capitoline Museums (Rome), in April 2012 she won the second prize in the national harpsichord competition ERATAI (S.G. Rotondo, FG) and in the same year she played in the important Early music festival “Les jeudis Musicaux” of the Chapelle royale du Chateau de Versailles (Paris). In March 2013 was invited by Solisti Aquilani to participate at the project “le putte di Vivaldi” under the direction of Cinzia Pennesi. In November 2013 she played again for “Les jeudis Musicaux” and also in the Important Italian early music festi- val “Grandezze e Meraviglie” (Modena).
In March 2014, after a long research brought up to light the precious manuscript of the lost opera of Alessandro Stradella “La Doriclea”. After the discovery she started both the editorial project and the execution and recording project collaborating with Andrea De Carlo and important institutions such as Festival Grandezze e Meraviglie of Modena, Fondazione Pietà Dei Turchini of Naples, Academy of Fine Arts of Rome “Bonaventura Barattelli Concert Society” of L’Aquila and “Alessandro Stradella Festival” in Nepi. In July 2014 she graduated in harpsichord with a maximum of votes in the “Alfredo Casella” Conservatory with Andrea Coen and received her Bachelor degree. In December 2014 she played with “Orchestra La Libellula” in Teatro Eliseo (Rome) at the music festival “Eliseo Classica”. November 2014 she performed with “Collegium pro Musica” in Graz for a concert in Stefaniensaal during Adventskonzerte music season. Currently, she is attending a Master course in harpsichord soloist with Andrea Coen at the Conservatory of Music in L’Aquila and she is specializing in Basso Continuo technique with Giovanni Togni.
