Lilianna Stawarz
The Harpsichord
Harpsichordist and professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, she takes part in numerous courses, ateliers and seminars dedicated to the interpretation of baroque music. 2012-2016 she was a Deputy Dean and a Coordinator in a Concert Bureau in Instrumental and Pedagogical Faculty at University of Music department in Białystok. She cooperates with Department of Early Music and a Warsaw Vocal Department, with which she annually organizes concerts and opera spectacles as an artistic director and a conductor.
She was for 20 years a member of baroque ensemble Il Tempo, specializing in instrumental and vocal-instrumental music from early Baroque to classicism. She has made many radio recordings with him, 5CDs and participated in numerous concerts and major music festivals in Poland and abroad. in Bruges, Brussels, Utrecht, Moscow, New York, New Brunswick, Rome and Berlin.
While working in the Warsaw Chamber Opera Lilianna Stawarz conducted numerous spectacles, instrumental and vocal concerts, playing on harpsichord and chamber organ. As the artistic director she recorded six CDs with instrumental and vocal music from XVII century — Opera Omnia by M. Mielczewski and a CD with compositions by a Polish baroque composer — D. Stachowicz.
Since 1991 she has been related to the Warsaw Chamber Opera as a harpsichordist and a chamber music player, as well as a conductor. 2015-2017 she was an Artistic Director of Opera and Baroque Department.
In 2003 she recorded her first solo album with C. P. E Bach compositions(published by CD Accord) and in a January of 2007 a double album with G. Fr. Handel’s Harpsichord Suites HWV 426-433 (published by Pro Musica Camerata Association). In 2012 she recorded her third solo album with Inventions and Symphonies by J. S. Bach, edited by Polish Radio (and nominated to the Fryderyk Award). She also recorded the Polonaises and Fantasies of W.F. Bach (2014) and W.A. Mozart Concerts KV 107-D, Es ,G and D-major by Haydn, Hob. XVII:11(2014) with the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra and a concert for harpsichord by Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz with the Polish Radio Orchestra (2016).
Lilianna Stawarz is a president of Baroque Art Lovers Society Dramma Per Musica. In 2014, in cooperation with Museum Łazienki Królewskie and Warsaw Chamber Opera, the Association presented a Polish premiere of Agrippina by G. Fr. Handel. The spectacle was filmed by Institute of Visual Arts and received a nomination to the Koryfeusz Award, as the Event of the Year 2015.
